AD electrical case study

The Challenge

AD Electrical are an electrical contractor, operating throughout Eastbourne and wider East Sussex. They approached BarkWeb in August 2023, seeking to invigorate their digital presence and grow their business in the local area.

Utilising our web design, Google Ads, and SEO services, the project had the following objectives:

  • Refresh AD Electricals' drab website into a modern reflection of their brand
  • Rank on the first page of Google for key search terms
  • Increase the number of leads generated through the site
  • Support organic efforts with a Google Local Services Ads campaign

The Solution

The website was completely redesigned and developed from the ground up, better reflecting AD Electricals’ modern ethos. During the design of the site, careful consideration went into maximising the performance of the site. Page speed matters to both users and Google, so it was a priority for this project. Our experts also implemented their CRO expertise, reducing all possible barriers to conversion on the website. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for potential clients to have their problems solved by the AD team.

Since our relationship began, our team has worked on the creation of SEO optimised content. This includes localised landing pages which ensure AD Electrical are visible throughout East Sussex and Kent, for search terms relevant to their business.

More recently, having been so impressed with the results from our SEO campaign, we were instructed to create and manage a local services Google Ads campaign. Local services ads (LSAs) are great for trades, as Google will actively match your listing/advert to local searches relevant to your services. As you pay per lead instead of per click, this ensures you’re never charged for an irrelevant enquiry. LSAs can also include a Google Guarantee badge, which reassures potential customers of the quality and reliability of such services. This badge increases trust and can result in greater interest.

The Result

Since the project was started, we have increased visibility of their online website by 322%.

  • 47.56% increase in organic traffic to the website, as a result of improved keyword rankings
  • 80.77% increase in leads generated via organic traffic
  • Our local services ads (LSAs) generate 17 leads on average per month, at a competitive cost–per-acquisition of £12.
